Singing Lessons in Dallas For All Skill Levels and Aspirations

Our Lessons are Inspiring, Uplifting and Positive

We prioritize positive feedback at Shine School of Music. There is no such thing as a “small” win in voice lessons, and we celebrate each achievement earned by our voice students. From learning diaphragmatic breathing to a new note reached, song learned, or technique mastered, we will remain your biggest supporter. We provide all of the exercises and practice material you’ll need to be successful in your practice sessions, and we are always happy to answer all of your questions, no matter how technical they may be. Furthermore, we cater our lessons to your unique interests: we can introduce Mozart arias, country songs, Broadway hits, and yes, Taylor Swift into your voice lessons. Our teaching staff is experienced in many genres and techniques, both from a pedagogical and performance perspective.

Voice Lessons From the Comfort of Home

Singing in a new environment can be intimidating, and many voice students are uncomfortable with others hearing them learn new concepts. It’s brave enought to embark on your singing journey when it’s just you and a teacher.

Our in-home singing lessons let you find your voice in the safest environment possible. Furthermore, our lesson structure is extremely convenience for busy professional, families juggling other extracurriculars, and those with multiple children who would like to take lessons.

Rooted in the Fundamentals, Applied to Classical and Contemporary Genres

All of our voice students learn the fundamentals of singing. This includes breath support, relaxed technique, healthy exercises to expand range, learning to read notes and note values (quarter vs. whole notes, etc.), and much more. But we are happy to help you apply those fundamentals to both classical and contemporary genres. Whether you love jazz vocals, want to star in a high school theater production of Into the Woods, or want to take a Puccini aria with you to college auditions, we would love to work with you. Different genres do have specific demands and challenges, and as you master the fundamentals, we will move into this material. For instance, you may need to work on your blended chest voice if you want to sing pop music. Or maybe your’re a soprano who hasn’t quite mastered your head voice. Whatever the case may be, we have the expertise to help.

Singing Lessons For Kids, Teens and Adults

Each age bracket brings unique challenges. With children we angle voice lessons on ear training, developing a genuine love for music, and fundamentals like breathing and pitch. We focus on these elements because the voice has not changed yet, and the last thing we want to do is cause “burnout” or tension long before those issues should even be a consideration.

Teens, on the other hand, are navigating the voice change, and they may be struggling to find their identify as a singer. Is your son a bass, for instance, or will the voice settle into the tenor or baritone range? We help young students learn vocal skills and techniques that will help them navigate these changes, shine in auditions, and develop unassailable self confidence.

With adults, we often tailor lessons to their unique interests and goals. Adults may be building on lesson they’ve taken in the past, wish to participate in worship, or want to start a rock band with friends. We will work on exactly what you want to work on. If you simply want to learn to use your voice more healthfully, let us know that as well.
