Piano Lessons For Kids in University Park
We have many years of experience teaching young kids, middle schoolers and teens on the piano. Young children will love lessons; we include musical games, fun, skill-level-appropriate tunes on the piano, and “off-the-bench” learning activities for rhythm, note reading, technique and other disciplines. As your child starts to demonstrate a particular interest in different types of music and piano playing, we can angle lessons accordingly. Perhaps they love certain movie scores, or maybe they even want to write songs - we are happy to help.
We also work with many teenagers who have some prior piano experience. We will quickly identify their current level, along with any deficiencies and strengths, and set a course accordingly. We can prepare them for high school ensemble auditions, local competitions like PianoTexas or MTNA, and help them develop a love and understanding of music.

In-home piano lessons are extremely practical - we can meet you during the after-school hours, or schedule lessons later in the evening after dinner time when things slow down. Many of our adult students work from home, and they are able to make time for piano by booking lessons during lunch breaks or in between calls throughout the day.
Furthermore, many of our students learn better at home than they would by going to a studio. In-home lessons prevent stress (an inhibitor to piano learning), and while we do set boundaries for the lesson space among siblings, we have seen wonderful outcomes from in-home piano lessons.
